Webflow Integration

Syncing articles with Webflow

NOTE: Article syncing is refer to as 'publishing' within SmartPost.

Our webflow integration allows you to automatically publish new article directly into your webflow website.

Smartpost's integration with Webflow enables seamless synchronization between your Smartpost articles and your Webflow collection. With this integration, every article you generate in Smartpost will be synced to your Webflow site, ensuring efficient content management.

You can choose to automatic publishing, manual publishing or even schedule for publishing.

Configuring the Webflow integration is easy & simple:

Create & Provide your site's API Key

Follow these steps to create an API access key. You can also follow Webflow's documentation

From your Webflow Workspace, click on '' to open up the menu and select Settings

Once you have access your website's Settings, go to the Integration tab

Scroll down to API ACCESS & click on Generate new API token

Generating a new API token invalidates the existing token. Make sure to update the API key in SMARTPOST when you generate a new one.

Add your API token during the project onboarding process & click on Encrypt (Your token is securely encrypted before it is saved into our database to ensure it remains secured & private)

Choosing a Webflow CMS Collection

Once your key is encrypted, you will be prompted to select the collection dedicated for articles/posts.

Select the CMS collection:

CONFIGURE CMS SETTING

Post to Live: Immediately publishes the new article to your 'LIVE' page.

Mapping Fields

Define your fields to ensure a seamless integration. Here's more details about the field to help you mapping.

Article Title: This should be the basic naming 'text' field within your collection. More on this below..

Article Body: This should be a 'rich text' field within your collection.

Summary: This should be a regular 'text' field withing your collection.

Once you have mapped the fields and clicked on Set fields & continue a test article will be published as a draft to confirmed the integration.

IMPORTANT: About the basic 'text' field

When you initially create a CMS collection this field is titled, 'Name'. Our software automatically crawls for this title. If you have changed this title at any point you can always select the correct one from the dropdown. See below an example:
